HOW COULD A BULLET GO THROUGH BOTH JFK & CONNALLY & BE RECOVERED IN NEAR PRISTINE CONDITION?

QUESTION TO PONDER #6

How could a bullet go through JFK's neck & Governor Connally's chest & be recovered in virtually "pristine" condition?

The Warren Commission had a problem with the FBI investigation.

The FBI Report, issued on December 9, 1963, said 3 bullets had been fired.

The first hit JFK, the second hit Connally, & the third hit JFK in the head.

This scenario matched John Connally's own testimony that he heard the first shot, was in the process of turning to see JFK, & then was hit by a second shot.

But the Warren Commission discovered a shot missed the motorcade entirely & a piece of that bullet hit James Tague standing by the overpass.

So, the Commission was left with 2 bullets.

One hit JFK in the head.

This left 1 bullet to account for ALL the non-fatal wounds to JFK & Connally.

Arlen Specter proposed the "Single Bullet Theory".

He said a bullet fired from the 6th floor corner window entered JFK's neck/upper back passing through completely.

That bullet then continued forward to hit Connally in the right back passing through his chest and hitting his right wrist & left thigh.

But how is it possible that the bullet which supposedly passed through both JFK & Connally be found virtually "pristine" on a stretcher at Parkland Hospital?

When a bullet strikes something hard, like bone, it does not retain its original appearance.  This is particularly true if it strikes something like a rib or a wrist bone.

One of my students fired a Mauser rifle (a rifle with similar characteristics to the Manlicher-Carcano) at 100 yards into dirt.  He gave me the bullet after he dug it out of the dirt.

Following is my photograph of a Mauser bullet & casing along side a "pristine" bullet & the one the student dug out of the dirt.

The bullet (at the far right)  hit nothing but dirt.

A bullet having passed through two men having struck bone in the process would not be found in "pristine" condition .

CE399 did not cause all the non-fatal wounds to President Kennedy & Governor Connally.*

*JFK ASSASSINATION OPINION

I believe while CE399 was probably fired from the Manlicher Carcano, it is unlikely, considering its near pristine condition, that it hit anything solid.
