IF SOMEONE WITH A HIGH POWERED RIFLE WANTED TO GET YOU....

In his suite at the Hotel Texas in Fort Worth the morning of November 22, 1963, JFK looks down on the podium across the street from the hotel in the parking lot where he would be speaking. 

JFK says:

“If someone with a high powered rifle wanted to get you, nothing could stop them.” 

JFK goes downstairs outside the hotel & across to the parking lot.

At 8:45 a.m., JFK speaks to the 8000 citizens of Fort Worth, Texas. 

He says:


"Americans must bear the burdens of world leadership.  I know where they are....here in Fort Worth." 

At one point a woman yells out "Where's Jackie?" 


JFK answers:

"She's busy preparing herself.  It takes longer...but she looks better than we do when she does it." 

As he is returning to the hotel, JFK shakes hands with a high school girl who tells him she is supposed to be taking a test this morning. 

JFK says:  


“Just tell your teacher the President excused you.”
