NOBODY'S GONNA SHOOT ME

November 23, 1963

JFK’s flag-draped casket is placed on a caisson as Mrs. Kennedy, dressed in black & accompanied by her children, watches.

At the same moment, Dallas police prepare to move Lee Harvey Oswald from the city jail to the county jail.

Once a prisoner had been officially charged, which Oswald had been, he would "automatically" be transferred to the county jail to await trial.

Oswald, wearing a black sweater, is handcuffed between two detectives as he gets on an elevator to go the basement.

"Lee if anybody shoots at you, I hope they're as good a shot as you are."

Oswald replies:

"Nobody's gonna shoot at me."
