NEWLY PUBLISHED PHOTO OF JFK ON MAIN STREET IN DALLAS MOTORCADE

Charleston, South Carolina (JFK ASSASSINATION) I received an email today from my good friend Denise of Dallas, Texas. www.mdenisec.blogspot.com

She included a link to a recently published photograph of JFK in the motorcade on Main Street in Dallas on November 22, 1963.

The website link is www.dailydot.com/

The posting which includes the photo states that it came from a FACEBOOK entry by "Traces of Texas".

The photograph was made by an "aunt" just "moments before the assassination."

At first glance, I thought this was a picture I had seen previously & it well may have been a "cropped" version of this same photograph OR one taken by a different person at about the same time.

One comment made on the website about this photograph is the close proximity of the crowd to JFK & the 1st Lady.

I must admit I have never seen a photograph that does such a good job of illustrating this fact.

Because of the angle of the camera down into the car, we can clearly see the bouquet of roses on the seat between President Kennedy and his wife.

Those roses, given to Mrs. Kennedy at Love Field, would be covered with JFK's blood in the aftermath of the shooting.

Also note the driver, Bill Greer, opening his door slightly to force the crowds  on his side of the car to stay back on the sidewalk.

We also can see the face of Secret Service agent Clint Hill as he came up to occupy the rear position on the car.

He had moved from his spot on the running board of the followup car to be in a better position to protect the 1st Lady who was his primary responsibility.
