JFK SECRET SERVICE AGENT SAYS OSWALD DIDN'T ACT ALONE

Grand Junction, Colorado

Today we ran across some "new" information regarding a secret service agent who was on JFK's Detail who broke with the standard 'lone assassin' line of the retired agents.

While this information is new to us & the date of the posting on the internet is December 3o, 2012, the actual news article reportedly was written by "Ellen Miller, Special To The News*" on November 20, 2003.

NOTE:  We also found the article reposted by William Kelly on "The Education Forum" & on Vince Palamara's www.assassinationresearch.com as well as a posting on www.vincepalamara.com for Feb 29, 2012.

Palamara says that Mr. O'Rourke sent him a letter in June 2005 in which he wrote....

"There are a lot of "people"....that disagree with my findings.....but they have not done any research."

*It is not clear what newspaper this refers to, but we did find "The Rocky Mountain News" website online, but no luck finding Ellen Miller's article.

The article begins with the following paragraph:

"Lee Harvey Oswald didn't act alone when he killed President John F. Kennedy, a retired agent said Wednesday, & the president died because SS agents failed at their jobs."

The article goes on to say that the retired agent being referenced to is one Jerry O'Rourke** who served 22 years in the Secret Service & spoke at the downtown Grand Junction Rotary Club.

Agent O'Rourke was not with the group responsible for JFK's Dallas motorcade, but was, in fact, flying from Ft. Worth to Austin when word came that the president had been shot.

Mr. O'Rourke had been on the job with JFK at the breakfast speech in Fort Worth.

Ms. Miller then writes that Agent O'Rourke was assigned to the intelligence division of the Secret Service for one year & that experience, along with accounts of other agents, led him to his conclusion that Oswald was not the lone assassin.

In his speech before the Rotary Club, Mr. O'Rourke said that other reasons for his opinion on the matter include...

a. JFK had a number of enemies
b. Southerners were upset with his civil rights bill
c. organized crime & labor were mad about Justice Dept. investigations
d. anti-Castro Cubans were angry about the Bay of Pigs failure
e. FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover.

O'Rourke went on to say that "The shots (fired at JFK) were impossible to make."

"One shot entered Kennedy's body at his lower back & traveled up, to exit near his throat."

"Evidence was destroyed."  The article cites specific examples.

Ms. Miller concludes the article with this...

"O'Rourke said....the complete (assassination) file won't be released until 2027, & the reason for that is most of us will be dead by then."

**Gerald "Jerry" O'Rourke was born & raised in Telluride, Colorado when it was an active mining town.  His father, grandfather & great grandfather worked in the Tomboy mine.  After his 22 career as a US Secret Service agent when he was assigned to 8 presidents, Jerry became a 4WD tourguide for "Telluride Outside" (www.tellurideoutside.com).

NOTE:

Jerry O'Rourke appeared with Gerald Blaine & Paul Rindell, two other former agents, at the book signing of Blaine's "The Kennedy Detail" at Barnes & Noble in Grand Junction on Dec 17, 2010.

  1. How Jack Ruby could walk right up to oswalt is amazing to me..I have always been intriqued by the jfk shooting my father was at the movie theather where Oswalt was dragged out by the FBI not the dallas police dept despite Oliver Stones movie which got it wrong. I wil be ready for 2027 My Dad and I have discussed this issue forever and i will see to it that the truth is known

  2. Thanks for your comment. I would be interested in the reasons your father believed the FBI brought Oswald out of the Texas Theater rather than the Dallas Police.
