 "TRUTH AND LIES: WHO KILLED JFK?"

Knoxville, Tennessee (JFKD+50) My comments today are on the ABC-TV program which aired last evening, "Truth and Lies:  Who Killed JFK?"

If you have read the many posts on this blog and watched this program, I would think you would agree with me that is "more of the same" that the mainstream media has presented over the years.

Most of the program revolves around Lee Harvey Oswald as the lone assassin.  While they do attempt the occasional reference to alternate views, any uninformed person would come away thinking it was probably Oswald as the lone assassin.

The program avoids the controversy concerning eyewitness testimony at Parkland vs. Bethesda that described totally different wounds on JFK's body.  For example, the small "entrance wound" in the throat at Parkland (mentioned in the program) became a large exit wound at the Bethesda autopsy (not mentioned in the program) and the head wound was much larger at Bethesda than it had been at Parkland.

They emphasized that most eyewitnesses in Dealey Plaza heard 3 shots, but failed to mention those nearest the TSBD heard 3 but those nearest the grassy knoll heard more than 3.

A program like this just reemphasizes the desire of the producers to go along with the government's conclusions in the Warren Report* and the idea that while 60+ years later there still may be questions, we will most likely never know the answers.

*The Warren Report (1964) concluded that there was no conspiracy "foreign or domestic" involved in the JFK assassination & that all the shots fired in Dealey Plaza were fired by Lee Harvey Oswald from the 6th floor of the Texas School Book Depository.
