MR. PRESIDENT, YOU CAN'T SAY DALLAS DOESN'T LOVE YOU
As the motorcade enters Downtown Dallas, it turns onto Main Street.
The greatest percentage of the estimated 250,000 people who come out to see JFK & the 1st Lady line both sides of Main Street.

The motorcade comes to the intersection of Main & Houston Streets. There the cars turn right onto Houston for a short distance & then make a sharp left turn onto Elm Street.
As they ride down Houston Street, Mrs. Connally turns to JFK & says:
"Mr. President, you can't say Dallas doesn't love you."
JFK's Lincoln makes the sharp turn onto Elm Street directly in front of a 7 story red brick building called the TEXAS SCHOOL BOOK DEPOSITORY.
On the roof of the building is a large HERTZ RENT-A-CAR sign with a digital clock.
The clock reads 12:30 p.m. (CST).
